Metaplace, founded by Raph Koster of UO and SWG fame, is now in open beta.  I’ve been involved in the beta for a bit now and have played around with the tools.  I think that a site like this will end up being a great example of our multiple head end strategy for Ages of Athiria.  Right now there is an Ages of Athiria world that can be found by following this link.  It’s not far of a stretch to see multiple worlds dedicated to everything Ages of Athiria.  Using our planned Web Services API, I could envision a variety of purposes for a world. 

As of right now, the Ages of Athiria world in Metaplace simply links to select pages of our web site that are publicly viewable and the world itself uses no custom objects.  Everything in the world was found on the Metaplace Marketplace.  Eventually, we’ll replace all of the artwork with AoA themed art.  Check Metaplace out.  I think you will like what you find and might like it enough to create a world of your own.
