KooBoo Content Management System
As I sat there the other night building yet another content management system from the ground up, I thought to myself that there had to be a better alternative. What, I really wanted to do is get the basics out of the way. I needed a CMS that would allow me to setup a web site quickly but still let me access the code in the back of the engine for integration purposes. I think I’ve found that CMS in the Open Source CMS solution called KooBoo. So far, it looks like the CMS is a trimmed down ASP.Net MVC implementation of a CMS. It is not a community portal solution like the Telligent software. It is not a bloated does everything for everyone portal that is Dot Net Nuke. For that, I like what I’ve seen so far and plan on converting all of the sites under our management to the CMS.
One of the features I really like about this CMS versus others is that it seems to implement regular old ASP.Net conventions in its layout templates. Another important feature is that it comes with full source code so that I can extend and integrate the CMS with our current web sites and future planned sites. If you’re interested in a CMS package for your web site, you might want to take a look at this one. So far, I like what I see.

There are a lot of discussion about Kooboo already. In the DNN forum as well as some other places.
Some people think it will take over the position of DNN in the future.
