Call it Blog 2.0.  I’ve been meaning to get my blog off of the Community Server 2007 platform that was abandoned by Telligent for quite some time.  My only problem was that I had a wealth of posts in the Community Server database that I needed to migrate.  Well, a few months back, Telligent released Graffiti CMS to open source and it had a built in conversion tool for blogs hosted on Community Server 2007.  I thought I would give it a shot and it’s worked out great.  What you see here is the result of the conversion.

Turns out, the bigger headache was not getting the content into the blog but dealing with the URL Redirect 301 issue from the old web site to the new web site.  IIS7 Url Rewrite Module 2.0 to the rescue.  Lots of rules later and plenty of hand editing of said rules and I think I have the site in working order.  If for some reason, an old http://blogs.elysianonline.com/blogs/derek address does not work, please let me know and I will update the URL Rewrites for the web site.
