Lot’s of things have happened since I last wrote about our funding status.  Two of them are important enough to warrant mentioning in this new post.  The first is that the Vogt Award declined our application and elected to give their grants to other companies.  I’m curious to find out which companies made the cut and how much they received.  I’m glad we submitted, wish that the staff at the Vogt Award would have been able to give me a reason for why they passed on our project and learned a lot from the process.

On a more positive note, Kentucky Science and Technology Center has requested that we meet for the next step in the process of obtaining funding from their Kentucky Enterprise Fund.  I’m meeting with them over lunch on Wednesday.  Additionally, I think we’re much closer to raising the private equity funding required for the Kentucky Enterprise Fund match.  With a bit of luck and few good presentations, we might be off and running just before Game Developer Conference this year.

It’s been a good year so far and I’m hoping that all of the opportunities pan out for us so that we can get started on making the game that we’ve all been waiting far too long to see released.  Now, if only the Patriots showed up to yesterday’s game.  Don’t get me started….
